Overview

Why this work is worth doing properly.

During a major renovation, painting is the finish everyone sees and the one most likely to show shortcuts. Uneven sheen, roller marks at the ceiling line, and paint peeling off fresh plaster all trace back to prep that was rushed to hit a handover date.

Our painting works cover whole units, exteriors, and commercial spaces as part of a renovation programme. We coordinate with the plaster and carpentry trades so surfaces are cured and sanded before the first coat, and the space is protected, cut in by hand, and cleaned before handover.

What we cover

Painting Works works we carry out.

Full-unit interior painting

Walls and ceilings across the whole unit — two coats over sanded, sealed, and patched surfaces, with hand-cut edges at every line.

Exterior and facade painting

Landed exteriors, boundary walls, gates, and external corridors using weather-resistant and anti-fungal coatings.

New plaster and skim prep

Sealing fresh plaster and skim coat correctly so the paint bonds instead of flaking off in the first months.

Feature and specialist finishes

Accent walls, colour blocking, enamel on doors and grilles, and epoxy or textured coatings where specified.

How it works

From your first message to a clean handover.

  1. 01

    Colour and surface check

We confirm colour codes in writing and check the surface condition — new plaster, existing paint, or bare board each need a different prep.

  2. 02

    Protect and prepare

Floors and fittings masked, surfaces scraped, sanded, filled, and sealed before any topcoat goes on.

  3. 03

    Two-coat application

A minimum of two coats with hand-cut edges, plus extra coats where a strong colour change demands full coverage.

  4. 04

    Daylight inspection

We walk the unit under daylight and artificial light, touch up anything flagged, then clear all masking and debris.

Questions

Painting Works FAQs

Still unsure? Call +65 9348 1142 and speak to someone who does the work.

Can you paint over freshly plastered walls?

Yes, but the plaster must be cured and correctly sealed first. Painting over green plaster traps moisture and causes flaking. We sequence painting after the plaster has dried and seal it before the topcoats.

Do you paint the whole unit or just selected rooms?

Both. As part of a renovation we usually repaint the entire unit for a consistent finish, but we can also quote specific rooms or feature walls if that is all you need.

How many coats do you apply?

A minimum of two coats over prepared surfaces. Strong colour changes or covering a dark base may need a primer plus additional coats, which we flag in the quotation.
