Overview

Why this work is worth doing properly.

False ceilings and partitions are the fastest way to change how a space works. A plasterboard ceiling conceals aircon trunking, pipes, and cabling while giving you cove lighting and downlights. A partition turns an oversized living area into an extra bedroom, or an open office into meeting rooms.

We install plasterboard and moisture-resistant ceilings, drywall and glass partitions, and bulkheads for homes, shops, and offices in Singapore — coordinated with the electrical and aircon works so the finish lines up the first time.

What we cover

Ceiling & Partition works we carry out.

False ceiling installation

Plasterboard ceilings on metal furring to conceal aircon trunking, pipework, and cabling, with clean level lines.

Cove & recessed lighting

Cove details for LED strips, downlight cut-outs, and bulkheads planned together with the electrical layout.

Drywall partitions

Stud-framed partition walls to create bedrooms, storerooms, or meeting rooms — with insulation where sound matters.

Glass & aluminium partitions

Framed and frameless glass partitions for offices and shops where daylight and visibility need to be preserved.

Moisture-resistant systems

Moisture-resistant boards for kitchens, service yards, and bathroom ceilings, with proper access panels.

Access panels & services

Maintenance hatches positioned for aircon fan coils, valves, and junction boxes so future servicing is not destructive.

How it works

From your first message to a clean handover.

  1. 01

    Measure & plan

We measure the ceiling height and structure, then plan drops, bulkheads, and partition lines around existing services.

  2. 02

    Coordinate the services

Lighting points, aircon trunking, and cabling are set out before boarding so nothing has to be cut open afterwards.

  3. 03

    Frame & board

Metal furring or stud framing installed to level, then boarded, taped, and skim-coated to a paint-ready finish.

  4. 04

    Finish & paint

Sanded, sealed, and painted, with access panels fitted and the site cleared of dust and offcuts.

Questions

Ceiling & Partition FAQs

Still unsure? Call +65 9348 1142 and speak to someone who does the work.

How much ceiling height does a false ceiling take?

A typical plasterboard false ceiling drops around 100mm to 150mm, and more where it has to clear aircon trunking or a fan coil. We often use a partial drop or bulkhead so only the section covering services loses height.

Can I add a bedroom with a partition wall?

Yes — a stud-framed drywall partition is the usual approach, and insulation can be added for sound. We will check ventilation, lighting, and any building or HDB restrictions that apply to the layout before quoting.

Is a false ceiling suitable for kitchens and bathrooms?

Yes, provided moisture-resistant board is used and access panels are positioned for maintenance. Standard plasterboard should not be used in permanently damp areas.

Do you handle the lighting installation too?

Yes. Our electrical and ceiling teams work together, so cove lighting, downlights, and switch positions are set out before boarding rather than cut in afterwards.
